CARE ID delivered an invited seminar titled "𝗘𝗰𝗼𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘀: 𝗧𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵𝘆 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮" at a technical exchange in Busan for Korea's national R&D programme on carbon-zero textile and fashion, launched by MOTIE in April 2026.

CSO DAJEONG shared the most recent textile DPP preparatory analysis and insights from our participation in CIRPASS-2 - Digital Product Passport. CEO Himchan Roh followed with our approach to the EU ESPR implications and the current state of textile DPP frameworks in Korea.

Backed by KRW 17.6 billion over five years, the programme is organised into three strategic tasks, and CARE ID leads the DPP infrastructure component of Task 3, 𝗱𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮'𝘀 𝗗𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Working with a consortium of textile manufacturers, testing institutes, research centres, Korean fashion brands, and public agencies, CARE ID is developing:

• 𝘈 𝘒-𝘋𝘗𝘗 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘢 𝘮𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘭 𝘳𝘦𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘒𝘰𝘳𝘦𝘢'𝘴 𝘵𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘴𝘶𝘱𝘱𝘭𝘺 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘶𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦

The programme targets 𝗮 𝟯𝟬%+ 𝗿𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁-𝗹𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗞𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗮'𝘀 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗹, 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝘆 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 rather than declaratory claims.
