CARE ID DPP-Lite — Supporting DPP Readiness in the Lao Garment Industry

CARE ID DPP-Lite Pilot – First Mission in Laos
We have successfully completed the first mission of the 𝐂𝐀𝐑𝐄 𝐈𝐃 𝐃𝐏𝐏-𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞 project, supported by Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) CTS (Creative Technology Solution), focusing on practical Digital Product Passport (DPP) readiness for the Lao garment industry.
𝐃𝐏𝐏-𝐋𝐢𝐭𝐞 supports the structuring of essential Tier-1 production data as a foundation for future traceability, environmental data readiness, and alignment with emerging EU ESPR and DPP requirements. The project aims to strengthen long-term digital resilience and support the global competitiveness of the Lao garment ecosystem.
During this trip, we worked closely with local stakeholders to better understand the current operational environment and identify realistic pathways for digital transformation. The visit highlighted the importance of practical and accessible digital tools that improve workflow efficiency while remaining compatible with existing production environments.
We sincerely thank KOICA Laos PDR, Association of the Lao Garment Industry , Zero Waste Laos, and participating partners HER WORKS and LeLao for their collaboration and valuable insights during this first mission.
We look forward to continuing the pilot together in the upcoming phases.
