CARE ID releases ReScore, an open-source textile recyclability assessment tool
Pleased to share an open-source tool developed by our team:
ReScore Recyclability Pre-Assessment Tool for Textile Products (available in Korean, English, and Japanese)
Try it here: https://lnkd.in/g9smh2h3
Why CARE ID built this:
As ESPR and Digital Product Passport (DPP) requirements evolve, recyclability is becoming a design-stage responsibility. Yet many brands still lack a clear internal method to evaluate recyclability at SKU level.
ReScore is intended as a practical starting point. It provides a structured way to assess operational textile-to-textile recyclability potential at product level during the design stage, helping brands and product teams consider recyclability earlier in development.
If you are working on product development, material sourcing, recycling systems, or DPP preparation, we welcome feedback and discussion.
The tool is informed by the 3rd Milestone Document of the ESPR Preparatory Study for the Textile Sector (Table 6 scenario). It reflects operational textile-to-textile recyclability potential under defined material parameters and does not constitute an assessment of overall environmental performance. We acknowledge the methodological boundaries inherent in these parameters. The framework may be updated in alignment with future ESPR developments.
