CARE ID Joins National R&D Project to Build K-DPP Infrastructure
CARE ID has joined a KRW 11.8 billion national R&D project under Korea Planning&Evaluation Institute of Industrial Technology (KEIT),
산업통상자원부, the ministry the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, as a core data infrastructure partner.
The project titled 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑪𝒂𝒓𝒃𝒐𝒏-𝒁𝒆𝒓𝒐 𝑻𝒆𝒙𝒕𝒊𝒍𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑭𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑰𝒏𝒅𝒖𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒚 𝑬𝒄𝒐𝒔𝒚𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒎 𝑻𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒔𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒎𝒆 brings together twelve organisations spanning the full length of the Korean textile supply chain: ISAE F&C (이새에프엔씨), Huvis Corporation, Ilshin Spinning (일신방직), Gunbaek (건백), Uniatex (유니아텍스), BLACKYAK Co., Ltd., Sije (시제), KOMSCO (한국조폐공사), Korea Textile Development Institute (한국섬유개발원), Korea Textile Trade Association(한국섬유수출입협회), KOTITI Testing and Research Institute, and Yune Inc. (CARE ID).
CARE ID's role within the consortium is 𝒕𝒐 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒂, 𝒆𝒏𝒆𝒓𝒈𝒚 𝒖𝒔𝒂𝒈𝒆, 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒂𝒍 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒂𝒃𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒓𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒍𝒕𝒔 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒉 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒍𝒚 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒊𝒏 𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒐 𝒂 𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒍𝒆 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒅𝒖𝒄𝒕-𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍 𝑫𝑷𝑷.
𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝒃𝒓𝒐𝒂𝒅𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒃𝒋𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 𝐚 𝐊-𝐃𝐏𝐏 𝐦𝐨𝐝𝐞𝐥, 𝐚 𝐊𝐨𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝒄𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒐𝒇 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝒂𝒄𝒓𝒐𝒔𝒔 𝒂𝒍𝒍 𝒕𝒘𝒆𝒍𝒗𝒆 𝒊𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒊𝒕𝒖𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒊𝒏 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒕𝒓𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒇𝒍𝒐𝒘.
As EU DPP requirements for textile products approach, the ability to verify carbon reduction through structured, auditable data is becoming a practical condition for market access.
This is the first time Korea's textile supply chain has attempted this kind of 𝒆𝒏𝒅-𝒕𝒐-𝒆𝒏𝒅 𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒂 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 𝒂𝒕 𝒂 𝒏𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝑹&𝑫 𝒍𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒍. The project runs from 2026 to 2030.
We are grateful to be part of this consortium and will do our best to build something that genuinely moves the needle for Korea's textile industry.
